Public Hearing Notice
Consolidation and Relocation
of Polling Locations
The Jenkins County Election Superintendent is considering consolidating
the Primary School, Courthouse, and
Senior Citizens Center polling locations. This consolidation would involve
relocating the Primary School and
Courthouse polling locations to the
Senior Citizens Center. Voters who
currently vote at the Senior Citizens
Center would continue to vote at that
location. It is the opinion of the Jenkins
County Election Superintendent, Board
of Commissioners, School Board
Members and Board of Registrars that
the consolidation and relocation of the
above-mentioned polling locations will
improve the security, comfort, voting
area, parking, restrooms, internet
service, lighting, and climate control
for electors and poll workers. There
will be a public hearing to address any
questions or concerns on the matter
on Monday, June 12th at 6 P.M., at the
