Separate sealed Bids for the construction of a new natural gas pressure regulating and metering station and other related gas facilities to be located adjacent to Southern Natural Gas Company’s pipeline right-ofway, off Rabitsch Road in Jenkins County, will be received by the City of Millen at City Hall located at 919 College Avenue, Millen, Georgia until 2:00 p.m. local time, December 18, 2013, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally includes the installation of a natural gas pressure regulating and metering station, gas odorizer, gas heater, approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch steel natural gas main, approximately 200 linear feet of 4-inch steel natural gas main and other appurtenances. The Owner will provide the pressure regulators, turbine meter, volume corrector, gas odorizer, odorant tank and the gas heater. Contractor to provide pipe, valves, fittings, concrete, canopy, fences, gates, site work, erosion control materials, and all accessories required for a complete, properly functioning system. Contractor will furnish all equipment required for installation, cleaning and testing.
The location of the Work is in Jenkins County, Georgia, along Rabitsch Road and approximately 3,800 feet northeast from its intersection with Buttermilk Road.
No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds a Georgia State Contractor’s License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43 14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and City guidelines and regulations.
