Johnson Chapel

Johnson Chapel Baptist Church will hold their annual Black History Program 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26. The public is invited to attend. The Rev. Allen Webb is pastor and Deacon C.J. Jones is chairman.

Lane Grove Baptist Church

Men and Women Day will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, March 6, at Lane Grove Baptist Church, Georgia Highway 121, south of Millen. Speaker for the men will be Deacon James Canty. Speaker for the women will be Christine Stripling.

The church will hold their annual Memorial Service 6 p.m. Saturday, March 26. Speaker will be the Rev. Robert Owens, pastor.

Zion Baptist Church

Zion Baptist Church will host Family Enrichment Ministry (FEM) of Augusta’s 10th annual Brotherhood Conference presentation, "God’s Plan for the Christian Man" Thursday, Feb. 24, through Saturday, Feb. 26.

The presentation will be led by William B. Blount, director of FEM. Devotional meditations will be given by Pastor Ricky A. Bready Sr., co-director of FEM. Music will be provided by local men’s choirs.

True Born Church of Christ Deliverance Center

True Born Church of Christ Deliverance Center, located at 157 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Millen, will hold their annual Deliverance Revival 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, through Friday, Feb. 25. The speaker will be teacher Allie M. Scott. Apostle Richard Walthour is pastor.

The public is invited.

Welcome Baptist Church

Sister Lillie Stubbs and the choir members of the Welcome Baptist Church will present a "Black History Month Celebration" 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.

The master and mistress of ceremonies will be Deacon Charlie and Sister Lottie Walker.

The program will include: Deacon Elijah Coney, Sister Pansa Williams, Sister Loretta Reynolds, The Gospel Miracles, Sister Nina Frink, Sisters in Praise, Brother Jack Smiley, Trumpets of Joy, Sister Myrtis Reese, Gays Hill Choir, Sister Nellie Bynes and Sister Ernestine Miller and Company.

The Rev. Eddie Walker is pastor, Sister Stubbs is director and Sister Katie Mosley is president.

The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
