JCMS science fair winners announced

The Jenkins County Middle School Science Fair was held in the Jenkins County Agriculture Center Tuesday, Feb 1. The judges were Gail Duggan and John McDonald.

The winners are: first place, Chester Joyner, "Do Boys Remember Boy-type Pictures Better Than Girl-type Pictures?," Josh Becton, "Batteries – Battle of the Brands" and Grant Johnson and Sam Wills, "Does Washing Your Hands With Antibacterial Soap Really Get Rid Of Germs?"; second place, Joy Hargrove and Breezie Joyner,

"Does Expired Film Work?" and Becca Rich, "The Mercury Is Rising"; third place, Will Brinson, "Manmade or Natural – Which Is Best?," Brittany Adams, "Ketchup Mess-up" and Kelly Chick, "Sweet Stuff"; and honorable mention, Nicholas Williams, "Fungus Among Us," Cryslynn Royal, "How Clean Are Your Socks?," Tori Frawley and Cierra Joyner, "Got Chocolate?," Ayana Walker, "Scrub-A-Dub-Dub," Cara Reeves and Melissa White, "Pucker Up" and Rachael Welch, "Shedding Some Light."
