Dora Laura Bridges Dixon, 97, of Millen died Thursday, June 2, 2005.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at the Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Hood and Dr. Clarence Blalock officiating. Burial followed in the Millen Cemetery.

A visitation was held Saturday, June 4, from 7-9 p.m. at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dixon was born in Telfair County. She was a homemaker and member of the Millen Baptist Church where she attended the Reva Gay Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Dixon was also a former member of the Foster Grandparents of America.

Survivors include two daughters, Robbie Coleman and Jewell Dixon, both of Millen; five grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and a very special nephew, the Rev. Dr. Clarence Blalock of St. Augustine, Fla.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.
