Fannie L. Hart, 105, dies on July 14 in Conyers

Fannie L. Hart, 105, died Friday, July 15, 2005 at Conyers Nursing Center in Conyers following an extended confinement.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Bethel AME Church. Mrs. Hart will lie in state at Dwight’s Funeral Home 8:30-11:30 a.m. and at the church from noon until the hour of the service.

Mrs. Hart made her home on Winthrope Avenue in Millen for over 70 years. During this time, she was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church, and she was active in numerous community organizations. In the late 1970s, Mrs. Hart moved to Long Island, New York. After residing there for 11 years, she relocated with her family to metro-Atlanta, where she spent the past 15 years.

Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. George Dewey Hart. She is survived by her daughter and granddaughter, Nellie North and Anice Stephens, both of Grayson; great-granddaughter, Visna (Curtis) Dabbs of Marietta; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
