Mr. Gerald Wayne Baggett, 52, died Saturday, July 30, 2005 at his residence in Gibson.

His funeral was held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Baggett was a native of Jenkins County. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a security officer for Sizemore Security. He was a member of the Bainbridge United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Outler of Vidalia; a son, Gerald Wayne Baggett Jr. of West Land, Mich.; his mother, Vera Polk Williams of Millen; a brother, Ricky Baggett, also of Millen; a sister, Susan Pacheo of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and two grandchildren.
