Evening Light

MINISTER GLYNN SEA SR. AND MARTHA MILLER SEA MINISTER GLYNN SEA SR. AND MARTHA MILLER SEA The Evening Light Church of God, located at 220 Washington Street, and Pastor Carolyn Miller will host the Georgia Southeastern District Association of the Church of God beginning Friday, Oct. 28, through Sunday, Oct. 30. The theme will be “Experiencing a Spiritual Breakthrough…Have You Lost Yourself, “II Samuel 6:20 – 22.”

The Friday service will begin at 7:30 p.m. The speaker will be Pastor Donald Waldburg of the New Brunswick Church of God of Brunswick.

The Saturday service will begin at 8 a.m. with a Prayer Breakfast. The speaker will be Deacon Roland McCarr of Springfield. Christian education classes for all ages will be held from 9:10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Youth activities and a cookout will be held at Magnolia Springs State Park, group shelter #2, from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

MINISTER CHRIS TAYLOR MINISTER CHRIS TAYLOR The Sunday service will be held at the Rocky Ford Baptist Church, located on U.S. Highway 25, North. Christian education classes for all ages will

be held from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Morning worship will begin at 11 a.m.

The speaker will be Minister Glynn Sea Sr., associate pastor of the Evening Light Church of God. He is the son of Grace Sea and the late Albert Sea of Millen. He is married to Martha Miller Sea of Millen. They have three sons, Glynn Jr., Jamal and Martice.

Pastor Joretha Johnson of Savannah is the chairperson.

The public is invited.

Needful Baptist

Needful Baptist Church will celebrate “Men and Women Day” 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

The master and mistress of ceremonies will be Deacon James Ford and Sister Loretta Harris. Several musical selections will be presented during the service. Minister Louise Roberson will present the “Duties of a Woman” and Deacon James Prescott will present the “Duties of a Man.” The pulpit service will be provided by the Rev. Undrey Bostic. Remarks by Minister Bernese James will close the service.

Dinner will be served. The public is invited.

Parker Grove

Trinity Fellowship Convention will present a one-night revival 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Parker Grove Baptist Church in Rocky Ford. The guest minister will be the Rev. Paul Benton along with the Bassenger Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Trinity Fellowship Convention will present “Harvest Day” Sunday, Oct. 30, at Parker Grove Baptist Church. Sunday School will begin at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to come dressed in old-fashion clothes. The guest minister will be the Rev. Willie Jackson along with the New Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.

Parker Grove Baptist Church will present “Women of Excellence 2005.” Services will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, through Friday, Nov. 4; 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5; and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. The motto for the meetings is “Developing Christian Character.”

Wednesday’s service will feature as guest speaker the Rev. Dixon. Guest churches will be New Light, Millen, Green Chapel, Ditch Pond, True Love Christian Center, Rocky Ford Baptist, William Chapel and Gordon Grove churches.

Thursday’s service will feature as guest speaker Evangelist Frison. Guest churches will be Springhead UMC, Black Creek, Brinson Rock, New Light, Woodcliff, Male Course and Endtime Pentecostal churches.

Friday’s service will feature Pastor C. Gant as the guest speaker. Guest churches will be Greater Bethel, New Robbin Branch, Kemp Grove, Solid Rock, Williams Grove, Prayer Band and St. John Holiness churches.

The Saturday service will be a Dutch treat “Prayer Breakfast” to be held at Ryan’s Restaurant in Statesboro. The speaker will be Minister Alberta Griffin. Everyone is invited.

The Sunday afternoon service will feature as guest speaker the Rev. V. Lewis. Guest churches will be Fountain Spring, Horse Creek, Gay’s Hill, New Hurricane Branch, St. Paul, Johnson Grove and Lawton Grove churches.

The Rev. James L. Brooks is pastor. Deacon Larry Ruffin is interim chairman. Sister Alberta Melvin is secretary.

The public is invited to attend these services. Kelsey Chapel

The Community Youth Sunday Program will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Kelsey Chapel Baptist Church.

T h e speaker for the program will be Minister Isaac Christopher “Chris” Taylor.

Taylor is a 1992 honor graduate of Jenkins County High School where he received numerous honors and awards. He received his post-secondary education at Paine College where he earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics with honors. While matriculating at Paine College, he served as president of the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, second vice president of the Student Government Association and Paine College ambassador.

Taylor has an extensive religious background. He is a licensed, ordained elder at his local church assembly, which is the Williams Grove Church of God in Christ of Millen, under the leadership of Superintendent K.H. Thomas. He is dedicated to several administrative duties within this church assembly.

Taylor is currently employed with the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Statesboro as a customer service manager. He is also employed at Georgia Southern University’s Upward Bound Program as a math instructor.

He is the son of Dora “Tina” Taylor and the late Isaac Lovett.

His philosophy is, “Never limit yourself; when you limit yourself, you limit the possibilities.”

Second McCoy

The Rev. Levi Sapp and the Second McCoy Baptist Church invite everyone to attend their annual Harvest Day Program Sunday, Nov. 6.

Ladies are asked to wear long dresses and bonnets, and men are asked to wear overalls and brogan shoes.

The speaker will be Sister Joann Bell of Friendship Baptist Church.

Dinner will be served.

Welcome Baptist

The Welcome Baptist Church, Red Hill Baptist Church and 2nd Bynes Grove Baptist Church will hold Fifth-Sunday Services at the Welcome Baptist Church, Millen, 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. The program committee invites everyone to attend this worship service.

The Rev. Eddie Walker is pastor and Willie Forman is chairman.

Endtime Faith

The Endtime Faith Deliverance Church in Midville and Pastor Clyde Foreman Sr. announce powerful preaching and anointed singing services will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, and Friday, Oct. 28.

The speaker will be Bishop J.L. Williams of Holy Tabernacle United Church of God of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Everyone is invited.
