Baptist Church

Green Fork Baptist Church announces that their Vacation Bible School will be held 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9, through Friday, July 14. For transportation, please call (478) 982-4196.

The theme for the week is "Artic Edge: Where Adventure Meets Courage." Based on Joshua 1:9, the lessons will help kids find courage to follow Jesus. There will be Bible study, fun, fellowship, crafts, music and snacks.

Antioch Christian Church, on Antioch Church Road near Sylvania, announces Homecoming will be held Sunday, July 9. A barbecue lunch will follow the 11 a.m. worship service. There will be sports activities for youth and adults during the afternoon, and a "Moon Walk" for younger children.

All former members and friends are invited to attend this special celebration of the church's 140-plus years of ministry to the community.

The church will hold nightly revival services Sunday, July 9, through Wednesday, July 12. The evening services will begin each night with a gospel concert at 7 p.m.

The Sunday evening service will feature the Foxworth Family Singers from the Pembroke Christian Church. Monday evening's special music will be provided by McDonald Baptist Church, under the direction of James Strickland. Tuesday's concert will feature the "Lunchbox Boys," a bluegrass gospel band made up of Timken employees. And Wednesday's "Youth Night" concert will feature "Frayed Knot," a rock-androll Christian band under the direction of Leon Stalls.

Antioch's new minister, the Rev. Tom Stark, will preach the revival services. Rev. Stark has served in full-time evangelistic work for a number of years. He has preached more the 150 gospel crusades and youth rallies in 42 states and four foreign countries.

Church members are excited about the church's growth over the past several weeks, and they invite everyone to share in this special series of gospel meetings.
