Sandhill Baptist Church will sponsor "buy a hotdog and drink/get a back-to-school supply pack free" from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday, Aug. 5 at the old Butcher Shop location. The church will also sponsor a yard sale to support the restoration of the church during the same time and at the same location. The public is invited to both events.

Pastor Raymond Trent and the members of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church joyfully announce their annual Homecoming service will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6. During the morning worship service, there will be special musical selections and a time of personal testimonies. A covered dish luncheon will be served in the social hall, following the service. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. All members, former members, family and friends are especially invited to attend on this very special day.

Parker Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rocky Ford, will celebrate the 20th Pastor Anniversary of the Rev. James L. Brooks beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13. Everyone is invited to attend.

Green Fork Baptist

Dr. Ray Freeman and Green Fork Baptist Church announce Homecoming will be held 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6. The Rev. Brad Boynton will be the guest speaker. Two of Dr. Freeman's sons and their families, as well as the Green Fork choir, will provide special music. Lunch will follow the service. The public is invited to attend.

Community Worship

Center Community Worship Center, 417 Virginia Ave., will hold a Red Elephant Sale 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. There will be bargains, new items, boiled peanuts and baked items for sale.
