Fair-on-the-Square

The annual Fair-on-the-Square will be held 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse. The public is invited.

Those who are interested in participating in the Fair-on-theSquare Parade should call Cindy Linder at 982-3274 for information.

Diaper-changing tent

The ladies of the Dry Branch Baptist Church Women's Missionary Union (WMU) will have a diaper-changing tent at the Fairon the-Square, free of charge.

Miss Fair-on-the-

Square Pageant

The annual Miss Fair-on-theSquare Pageant will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Millen Civic Center Theater. The 2005 queens are asked to crown. The public is invited to attend in support of the contestants in the longest running pageant in Jenkins County's history. All queens will ride the float in the parade.

Class Reunion

The Jenkins County High School Class of 1954 will meet at McKinney's Pond 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Others who attended school with this class are also invited. For further information and to make reservations, please contact Phil Cowart at 982-5692 or Gloria Bargeron at 982-4409.

Legal Help

Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) provides free legal help to senior citizens on a firstcome, first serve basis. Individuals 60 years of age or older who have a civil, non-criminal legal issue may meet with a staff member from GLSP 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center, 998 College Ave., Millen.

You may also call 1(800) 2486697 for help with legal problems. The GLSP office that serves Jenkins County is in Augusta at 209 7th St., Suite 400.

Isakson

Representative

Sen. Johnny Isakson announces that his field representative, Nancy Bobbitt, will hold an open office day 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the third floor conference room of the Jenkins County Courthouse. Constituents are encouraged to talk with Bobbitt about any issues concerning the federal government, federal legislation or federal agencies, such as Veterans Affairs, the IRS, Medicare, Medicaid or the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services.
