Morrison Grove Baptist Church

CHAQUASHA D. TOMLIN
Community Youth Sunday will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 30, at the Morrison Grove Baptist Church. The guest speaker for the occasion will be Chaquasha D. Tomlin.

Tomlin grew up in Millen and graduated from Jenkins County High School in 2003. She furthered her education by attending Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, where she graduated magna cum laude this month, with a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications, concentrating in broadcasting. She is currently employed with Gannett Corp., Inc. subsidiary WMAZ-TV in Macon, as a master control operator and news assistant.

Tomlin is a member of Christian Fellowship Church of Warner Robins. She is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

She is the daughter of Sheron Williams of Millen and Willie Tomlin. She is the granddaughter of Ada Williams, also of Millen. She will be introduced by her twin sister, Chiquisha. The public is invited.

Revival

Morrison Grove Baptist Church announces their Summer Revival will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 31, through Friday, Aug. 4. Each night's service will include soloists and other special performances.

Guest ministers and invited churches are, Monday: the Rev. Bobby Williams Jr. and William Grove Baptist, St. John Baptist, Rocky Ford Baptist, Kelsey Chapel Baptist, Second McCoy Baptist and Saulter Grove Baptist; Tuesday: the Rev. Charles Wiggins and Trinity Baptist, Dickey Grove Baptist, Brinson Rock Baptist, Lane Grove Baptist, Johnson Chapel Baptist, First McCoy Baptist and Mount Carmen Baptist; Wednesday: the Rev. Larry Scarboro and New Light Baptist (Woodcliff,) Skull Creek, Fountain Spring Baptist, First Baptist, Jones Temple Baptist and Drakes Chapel Baptist; Thursday: the Rev. Kenneth Griffin and Oak Grove UMC, Nannie E. Williams UMC, Bethel AME (Millen,) New Light Baptist, First McCoy Baptist, Zion Baptist and Gays Hill Baptist; and Friday: the Rev. W.B. Tomlin and Thomas Grove Baptist, Daniel Grove Baptist, Welcome Baptist, Friendship Baptist, Hurricane Branch Baptist and Sand Hill Baptist churches.

Services on Sunday, Aug. 6, will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Sunday School, followed by Praise and Worship Service at 11:30 a.m. Special guests will be the Rev. P.M. Broomfield and Zion Baptist Church.
