Ray Hamilton Cook, 72, of Colquitt died July 15 Mr. Ray Hamilton Cook, 72, of Colquitt passed away July 15, 2006, at Miller County Hospital. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jason Minter and the Rev. Scott Cook officiating. Interment followed at Cook's Cemetery. Mr. Cook was born November 11, 1933, in Miller County. He was a retired police officer with Bainbridge Public Safety and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his mother, Alphia Cook of Colquitt; four daughters, Jan (Bill) Howington of Sebastian, Fla., Gail Bush of Colquitt, Becky Wildes of Iron City and Kelley Duxbury of Sebastian, Fla.; two brothers, Lynford "Plug" (Sara) Cook of Millen, Ga. and Larry J. Cook of Colquitt; a sister, Margie Brown of Colquitt; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Robert) Bradley, Tatie (Stephen) Snell, Allyson Bootes, Bryan Bootes and Cathryn Bootes; six great-grandchildren,; several nieces and nephews; and friend and mother of his children, Eathell (Hank) Tyler of Iron City. Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. |
