Miss Turner to marry Mr. Townes Dec. 9

Larry and Vinita Turner announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda, to Chris, son of Kenneth and Clara Townes.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at United Methodist Church in Alma. Invitations will be sent.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William and Virginia Tankersley, Milner and Frances Hawes and the late Roy Turner.
She is a 1998 graduate of Jenkins County High School and a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University where she received a Bachelor of Science in child and family development. She is also a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama where she received her masters in counseling psychology. She is currently pursuing an education specialist degree in counseling from Argosy University, which she will complete in March 2007.
She is employed by Satilla CSB as a counselor.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Windford Boatwright and the late Virginia Boatwright, Sallie Swineheart and the late Walker Swineheart and the late Cecil Townes.
He is a 2001 graduate of Bacon County High School and 2006 gradaute of Georgia Southern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in secondary education.
He is currently employed by Jeff Davis County High School as a biology teacher.
The couple will reside in Baxley, Ga.
