***SENIORS*** Fall Forum is just for senior 4-H'ers and it is one of the most exciting weekends for them. It will be held Dec. 9-10 at Rock Eagle. The deadline to register at the regular cost was last Friday. If you are still interested in going, it's not too late. However, there is a small $5.00 late fee. Cost is now $60 per person! Please come and register as soon as you can to ensure your spot.

The fifth grade finished their

canned food drive last week. They had an outstanding number of cans turned in. I am very proud of them and the effort they put forth. Because of their effort, one homeroom will receive a party soon!! The winner will be announced in next week's paper.

DPA participants should be in full swing! I know many of you have begun working and are almost finished with your portfolios. Doing a portfolio can be the most difficult part but if you put out a little effort, it can also be the most fun! Once completed this year, all you have to do is update it next year. It will get easier and more rewarding every year. If you have not started and would like to, please come by and Mrs. Elaine or I

Many students turned in pumpkins for the decorating contest. I have already announced the winners but here they are again with a picture of the display at Harvest of Fun. Pictured are, from left, Robin Boone, Cutest and 3rd place tie (cloverleaf) with Brandon Cherry, Scariest. Tonya Lane, Most Original and 1st place in Junior division. 4-H emblem pumpkin. Kristin McLamb, 1st place and Most Creative; Tyler Taylor, 2nd place and Neatest (cloverleaf). The rather large pumpkin on the far right was turned in by a group of seniors; Adam Lanier, Nicky Roberts, Danielle Dietemen and Heather Brigdon. They received 1st in the Senior division and Best Overall.

With Christmas just around the corner, there are going to be a lot of activities coming up for children of all ages including a

scavenger hunt, caroling, making cards, Fall Forum, buckshot, plus more! So please keep your eyes and ears open to see how you can participate and as always, if you have any questions, please call 982-4408!
