Christmas in Millen planned for Dec. 1

Get in the Christmas spirit with Millen's annual Christmas in Millen celebration 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, on Cotton Avenue. Come out and enjoy street music in the open air performed by the Jenkins County High School Band and Chorus.

Santa will be on hand for photographs and to hear children's Christmas wishes. Millen Fire Department's Christmas Train will be running as well as some fun rides from Carter's Rock'n Rides.

Shopping opportunities will be available from local churches and crafters. Several businesses will be open for extended hours to accommodate shoppers.

Plan to enjoy hotdogs, chili, cokes and hot chocolate from the Millen/Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce.
