Syl-View Happenings A blessed Thanksgiving to all our friends in Jenkins County. We have so much to be thankful for at Syl-View. Please keep us in your prayers as we celebrate this holiday season. We will begin our Christmas Decorations the day after Thanksgiving as we prepare for these Christmas Happenings at Syl-View. The first holiday Happening will take place on Sunday, Dec. 3, from two until 4 p.m. This is the "Gift of Light" and it is our goal that every resident will receive a gift and a visit. Our prayer is that no one will feel neglected during this beautiful season of love. There will be live music and refreshments. Everyone is invited. On Monday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. we will have our Christmas Square Dance. Bill Kellicker will sing and call the dances and the Screven Squares will dance. We would love to have everyone who will attend. It's a great way to begin the celebration. On Saturday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. we will have "Breakfast with Santa." We invite children of all ages to attend and enjoy breakfast and have your picture made with the Jolly Ole Man from the North Pole. This gives our residents the joy of seeing little ones with Santa. On Sunday Dec. 10, at 3 p.m. there will be a 65th wedding anniversary for Dorothy and Charlie Massey. They request no gifts but you are invited to attend. On Tuesday night Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. there will be a Christmas Party for those who live on A, B, and C Halls. We ask that you bring a Christmas gift for your family member or friend. On Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. there will be a Christmas Party for those who live on D and E Halls. We urge you to bring a gift for your family member or friend if they live in the back halls. There will be music, fun and refreshments both nights and we are expecting you. It's a busy exciting time of the year and we encourage you to visit Syl-View during the holiday season as we celebrate the moments of our lives. |
