JCHS senior attends Vet Day at UGA

The University of Georgia recently sponsored Vet Day at its campus in Athens, and Danielle Dieteman, a senior at Jenkins County High School who has a goal to become a veterinarian of large animals, and her mother, Angela Elliott, attended the workshop.

Those in attendance were given a tour around the animal hospitals in the area, and Danielle even got to see a dog undergo hip surgery, which further confirmed her goal of becoming a veterinarian one day in the future.

The group toured all fields of veterinary medicine from microbiology to large-animal medicine.

Danielle stated it was a wonderful experience for all up coming seniors interested in veterinary medicine.
