Education Day recently held at Buckhead
      The annual Education Day for area students was recently held at historic Buckhead Church. This year, only one school, Metter Elementary, attended bringing three buses and 130 students to learn about the War Between the States.

      The Student of the Month program at Jenkins County Elementary School recognizes one student per homeroom each month. Each student must maintain good behavior in all school activities, make an excellent effort to complete all schoolwork and maintain a good attendance record.
