Annual parking passes now available at Magnolia Springs

Annual passes for 2007 are on sale now at Magnolia Springs State Park. The passes cost $30 ($15 for senior citizens 62 years of age and over – disabled veterans discounts also apply).

The pass is good for all 48 Georgia State Parks and exempts the holder from the $3 daily parking fee.

The annual pass is also available free with the purchase of a membership in Friends of Georgia State Parks. Friends memberships are available at Magnolia Springs in two basic forms – individual and family.

Individual membership cost $40 ($20 for seniors) and include:

 State park annual pass;

 One free visit for up to six people at a state historic site (up to $30 value);

 One free night camping or free round of golf at a state park course (up to $30 value);

 One free ticket on the Sam Shortline Excursion Train ($23 value); and

 10 percent discount card for purchases at state park gift shops.

The family membership costs $60 ($40 for seniors) and includes:  Two state park annual passes;

 State historic site annual pass ($60 value);

 Two free nights camping or two free rounds of golf at state park course (up to $60 value);

 Two free tickets on the Sam Shortline Excursion Train ($46 value);

 10 percent discount card for campsites and cottages (year round); and

 10 percent discount on all purchases at state park gift shops (year round).

Georgia State Park Annual Passes and Friend’s memberships are a way to enjoy our state’s scenic wonders while saving money at the same time. A portion of all sales stays directly with Magnolia Springs and is used for visitor improvement projects.

The pass can be purchased at the park office/gift shop, open daily 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
