Jerry M. Murdock, 67, of Chester died Dec. 7

Mr. Jerry Mack Murdock, 67, of Chester died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Crowe- Fields Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Millen Cemetery.

Mr. Murdock was born in Boone County, N.C. and was a retired peace officer.

Survivors included his wife, Marilyn Murdock; seven sons, Jerry Murdock Jr., Rick Murdock, Randall Murdock, Doug Murdock, John Murdock, Freddy Murdock and Gary Murdock; two daughters, Debbie Richards and Jerrie Ann Williams; two stepdaughters, Donna and Bonnie; stepson, Michael Rheault; two sisters; Mary Warren and Peggy Harley; brother, Jim Murdock; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
