Miss Couey to wed Mr. Womack June 2

Ronnie Womack and Stacey Couey Ronnie Womack and Stacey Couey Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Couey of Milledgeville announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Jean Couey, to Ronnie Justin Womack, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie J. Womack of Swainsboro.

The wedding is planned for June 2, 2007 at Willis House in Milledgeville. A reception will follow the ceremony in the historic gardens at the Willis House.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. Matthews Jr. of Moultrie, Mrs. Vernon Thomas Couey of Glenwood and the late Vernon Thomas Couey.

She is a graduate of Georgia Military College High School and Georgia College & State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and GC&SU women's basketball team.

She is currently pursuing a master's degree in special education from the University of Georgia. She is employed with the Effingham County Board of Education at South Effingham High School as a health and physical education teacher and as head coach of the girls' varsity basketball team.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie O. Edenfield of Millen and the late Mr. and Mrs. Junious Womack of Garfield.

He is an honor graduate of Swainsboro High School and GC&SU, where he earned a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. He was a member of the GC&SU baseball team.

He attends First Baptist Church of Swainsboro.

He is currently pursuing a master's degree in education leadership from the University of Phoenix and is employed by the Emanuel County Board of Education at Swainsboro High School as a special education teacher and as a football, baseball and golf coach.
