Make-A-Difference Lunch Program
The Millen Make-A-Difference Lunch Release Program for middle and high school students will begin Thursday, Sept. 6. Students interested in participating in the Bible-based program must have a signed permission slip from their parents or guardians on file in the school office. Students involved in this program are served lunch at the Jenkins County Agriculture Building once a week. Adults who wish to volunteer to help with this program should call (478) 982- 2507.
Hunter Education Course
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will offer a test and review for hunters taking the Hunter Education Internet course. The review and test will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Magnolia Springs State Park. Those interested in the new Internet course should go to www.beasafehunter.org. After completing all lessons and the review test, students should print out and sign the "Hunter Education Final Report and Affidavit" and bring it with them to the class.
Participants taking the test for the Internet Hunter Education course must pre-register. Participants can register at no cost by going to www.georgiawildlife.- com and click on the course registration icon, or call 1(800) 864- 7275 and an operator will register you for the Hunter Education course for a small fee.
Class of 1998 Reunion
The Class of 1998 will soon begin planning their class reunion. Contact information for each class member is needed immediately in order to keep everyone updated about the upcoming events.
Members of the Class of 1998 are asked to contact Tamika (Anderson) Patterson at (912) 536- 6060 promptly. If you are the parent of a class member who has relocated out-of-town, please forward this information to them.
Class of 1993 Reunion meeting
The Class of 1993 will hold a reunion meeting 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Papa's Pizza.

GED Registration
The GED examination will be given at Swainsboro Technical College both day and evening on Monday, Sept. 10, and Tuesday, Sept. 11.
Registration is required, prior to testing. Registration will be held at 9 a.m. in building #8 and at 6 p.m. in building #1 on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Picture identification and a social security card must be presented, and the $95 test fee is due, at registration.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If applicants are 18 or 19 years of age, an official withdrawal from the last school attended must be presented at registration.

Baseball Registration
The Jenkins County Recreation Department is now holding registration for: fall baseball, ages 8- 12; soccer, ages 4-12; football, ages 8-14; and cheerleading, ages 5-12. Participants should go by Sew 'N So, 815 Cotton Avenue, to register and fill out a registration form. A birth certificate is required at the time of sign-up. The deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
Augusta Chorale Auditions
The Augusta Chorale and music director Phyllis W. Anderson announce auditions will be held 6:15 p.m. - 6:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, Monday, Sept. 17, and Monday, Sept. 24, in the Paine College Chapel music building.

2007 Kiddie Camp
Cheerleaders All of the girls who participated in Cheerleading Kiddie Camp this past summer are invited to show their spirit at the first home football game 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. The girls should wear their kiddie camp shirts. The varsity cheerleaders will take the girls onto the field when it is time for them to cheer.
