Rosa Mae Rabitsch Dailey died August 26

Mrs. Rosa Mae Rabitsch Dailey, 85, of Millen died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.

Her funeral was held 11 a. m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Dan Zellner and Jamey Archer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Dailey was born in Jenkins County Nov. 6, 1921 to Marteen and Maybelle Becton Rabitsch. She retired from Jenkins County Food Service. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church where she attended church and Sunday School.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her garden and with her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion F. Dailey; three sons, Bernard, Charles and Byron Dailey; a grandchild, Byron Keith Dailey; four sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include her three daughters, Beatrice D. (James) Lowe and Mary D. (Jimmy) Smith, both of Statesboro, and Gail D. (Donald Wayne) NeSmith of Millen; two sons, Bobby F. (Christine) Dailey of Millen and Jimmy E. (Susan) Dailey of Rocky Ford; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a greatgreat grandchild; a sister, Minnie Lou Jenkins of Millen; two daughters-in-law, Pearl Dailey Weathersby of Millen and Ann (Dayton) Allen of Statesboro; two sisters-in-law, Lila Dailey and Annie Lou Dailey; a brother-in-law, Azzie (Junior) Dailey of Millen; and a special caregiver, Mattie Raymond of Statesboro.

Active pallbearers were grandsons Bob Dailey, Randy Dailey, Michael Dailey, Jay Dailey, Matt NeSmith and Bruce Dailey.

Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
