Church News Unity Worship Services Unity Worship Services will be held in honor of the upcoming Martin Luther King holiday 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, at Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church. Christians of all denominations are invited to attend the service. The Rev. Kenneth W. Griffin, pastor of Oak Grove and Nannie E. Williams United Methodist churches will deliver the message, entitled “The Death and Funeral of a King.” Special music will be provided by Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Ramsey of Savannah and local vocalists. Mr. Ramsey, a native of Jenkins County, is a retired educator and is currently minister of music at St. John Baptist Church. His wife, Kathy, is also a retired educator and sings with the St. John Baptist Choir. Sure Word Baptist Church Sure Word Baptist Church will have its first annual revival meeting Friday, Jan. 12-Tuesday, Jan. 16. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Sunday services will be at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Evangelist Don Hardman will be the guest speaker. The public is invited to attend. |
