Lindsey named collegiate winner

The United States Achievement Academy announced that Haley Lindsey of Millen has been named a United States Collegiate Award winner in Psychology.

The academy recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American college students.

The criteria for selection are a student’s academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, attitude and cooperative spirit, dependability and recommendation from a professor or college official. Lindsey, who attends Geor-

gia Southern University, was nominated by her professor, John Murray.

“Recognizing and supporting our youth is more important than ever before in America’s history,” academy founder Dr. George Stevens said in a press release. “Certainly, United States Achievement Academy winners should be congratulated and appreciated for their dedication to excellence and achievement.”

Lindsey is the daughter Charles and Kathy Lindsey of Millen and the granddaughter of Charles Lindsey of Millen, the late Irene Lindsey and the late Bonnie Womack.
