Doyle receives Good Citizen Award

Good Citizen Chair Jane Johnson presents Bernard Doyle with the Good Citizen Award at a meeting of the Edmund Burke Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
A local senior has been honored for his citizenship by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Jenkins County High School student Bernard Doyle received the Good Citizen Award at a recent meeting of the Edmund Burke Chapter DAR.

Doyle was selected for demonstrating qualities of leadership, service, dependability and patriotism. Faculty and the senior class at JCHS selected Doyle for the award.

Doyle is the son of John and Lula Doyle.

He has participated in football and track and has been named an All-American weightlifter.

Doyle is also a member of the Jenkins County 4-H and VOCA.

He plans to attend Swainsboro Technical College upon graduation.
