Baseball/softball registration

The Jenkins County Recreation Department is holding registration for baseball and softball.

Parents of children ages 4-14 may come by the recreation department to signup and are asked to bring with you a copy of their birth certificate and insurance information.

Parents will be required to fill out a registration form for each child playing. The registration fee is due at the time of signup. The deadline for signup will be 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23.

The recreation department is also holding registration for coaches.

Anyone interested in becoming a coach can come by the recreation department and fill out a coach's application.

The deadline to signup is 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23. All applicants are subject to a criminal background check.

Guitar Lessons

Guitar lessons are now being offered at the recreation department.

Anyone interested can call Eric Williams at 706-871-6586 or 478-982-2029.

Beginner and intermediate lessons are available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Space is limited.

Miss Jenkins County Forestry Pageant

The Miss Jenkins County Forestry Pageant will be held Saturday, Feb. 17. The pageant is open to all counties.
