The self-appointed ambassadors of Millen, the Millen Gentlemen's Gourmet Dining Club (MGGDC) recently visited the Coleman House located nearby on Highway 1 in Swainsboro.

Coleman House was constructed 1900-1904 and offers bed and breakfast as well as a great place to have lunch. Hours are from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Sunday Friday. They are closed on Saturdays. Diners may choose from a menu or select their bountiful buffet.

Club members selected the buffet and discovered an abundance of well-prepared, high quality food for a price that will have them returning frequently. They chose from entrees of fried chicken (the Coleman House specialty), fried fish, country fried steak with gravy and lasagna. There was also salad and fresh vegetables aplenty.

The members decided to pay the additional charge and try a dessert of grape/caramel salad.
