For the second consecutive year, JCHS VOCA participated in the Battle of the Chapters. This exciting event showcases a chapter's knowledge in VOCA By-laws, Constitution, Competitive Events and Current Events. The chapters compete with three member teams on a written test. Ten teams are selected to represent their schools in the annual Battle of the Chapters.
This year the 10 schools to make it to the final round were - Bradwell Institute, Chestatee High, Gainesville High, Glenn Hills High, Greenville High, H. V. Jenkins High, JCHS, Pierce County High, Sequoyah High and Upson-Lee High. After questioning all the teams, the competition was narrowed down to the two final schools, JCHS (team members - Hillary Hudson, Glenn Kelly and Chordarrol Milton) and Sequoyah High. JCHS edged out Sequoyah High for the first place win and $200.
Also attending the conference were: Cody Banner, Shardavia Green, Gena Patterson, Ashley Ball, Marie Groover, Stacey Manson and Annette Cobb, VOCA Advisor.
