Athletic Booster Club

The Athletic Booster Club will meet 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Planters Electric office on Highway 25 North.

Plans are being made for baseball concession and for the spring fundraiser - the Boston butt sale, to be held Friday, April 6.

All members are urged to attend and help plan these events.

Pancake supper

The Millen Lions Club will sponsor a pancake supper 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the Millen Community House.

Blood drive

A blood drive will be held 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, in the Jenkins County High School gym.

Visitors should sign in at the office where they will be escorted to the gym.

Refreshments will be served, and all donors will receive a free T-shirt.

Baseball/softball

registration

The Jenkins County Recreation Department is holding registration for baseball and softball.

Parents of children ages 4-14 may come by the recreation department to signup and are asked to bring with you a copy of their birth certificate and insurance

Parents will be required to fill out a registration form for each child playing. The registration fee is due at the time of signup. The deadline for signup will be 4:p.m. Thursday, March 1.

The recreation department is also holding registration for coaches.

Anyone interested in becoming a coach can come by the recreation department and fill out a coach's application. The deadline to signup is 4:p.m. Friday, Feb. 23. All applicants are subject to criminal background check.

JCHS School Council

The Jenkins County High School (JCHS) School Council will meet 3:15 p.m. Thursday, March 1, the school media center.

Super Eagle Day

Super Eagle Day is set for Saturday, March 10, at the Jenkins County Courthouse.

Events scheduled include the following:

+ 8:15 a.m. - Baby Eagle Mile Fun Run/Walk;

+ 8:35 a.m. - Super Eagle 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk;

+ 9 a.m. - 5K Road Race; and

+ 9-11 a.m. - Community Heath Fair.
