Here we go again, and I can't wait - another wedding!

Our son Jason presented his girlfriend, Kim Godbee, with an engagement ring for Valentine's Day. Of course, it was burning a hole in his pocket, so he just had to give it to her a little early. She thought she was getting earrings, so it was a surprise.

Kim is the daughter of Don and Susan Godbee. Her brother, Wesley, and Jason have been friends since their elementary school days. So it took us a little while to finally figure out that there was another reason Jason was spending so much time at the Godbee farm.

They are planning an August wedding.

Local residents will have the opportunity to enjoy a professional theatrical production of The Sound of Music Saturday, March 10, at the former Pal Theater on Cotton Avenue.

The musical is being brought to the community through a grant received by Millen Better Hometown. Tickets are $12 each and may be purchased at the Charm Barn or at the Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce office.

Better get yours early. It promises to be a "sold out" event.
