Roosevelt Bennett, 69, of Millen dies Feb. 13

Mr. Roosevelt (Buddy) Bennett, 69, of Millen died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at West Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Steven Adams, Butch Taylor and Bill Barksdale officiating.

Burial followed in the Millen Cemetery.

Mr. Bennett was born in Jenkins County, and was a retired shaper for Pride Manufacturing Co. and a deacon of West Millen Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Katherene Johnson Bennett; daughter and son-in-law, Pattie and Ricky McLeod; son and daughterin law, Stacey and Jennifer Bennett; sister, Mary Burke; and brother, Wayne Bennett, all of Millen; three grandsons, Ricky McLeod Jr., Brandon McLeod and Allen Bennett; and a greatgranchild, Natalie Claire McLeod.

Active and honorary pallbearers were the deacons of West Millen Baptist Church.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen was in charge of arrangements.
