Science Fair winners
The Jenkins County Middle School Science Fair was held Feb. 1, at the Jenkins County Ag Center. The sixth and seventh grade GTO students participated in the fair. The following awards were given to students: 1st place, pictured above, left, - 7th grade Chelsea Taylor's project "Arch, Loop, Whorl,"; 2nd place - 7th grade went to Catilyn Baggett "Red or Black?"; and 3rd place - 7th grade went to Trey Black and Jerome Young "Girls vs. Boys". The 6th grade 1st place winner, pictured above, right, was Donnie Gay, for "Ther' She Blows." Honorable Mention awards went to 6th graders Frank Hagins "Growing Mold" and Jared Orvin "Oily Water."
