Make this New Year's resolution stick It's been two months now since you made those New Year's resolutions. Are you finding it hard to keep them? Here's a resolution that you can make right now and not have to worry about breaking it. Donate your used vehicle to Kidney Cars, proceeds from which benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. Not only will you be helping the nearly 1 million Georgians with chronic kidney disease who are served by the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia you may also be rewarded with a tax deduction that you can claim next year. The donation process is simple. All you need to do is call 1-800-488-CARS (2277). The foundation will mail you an information packet, complete with self-addressed envelope to return the signed title and odometer statement. When the completed packet is received, the foundation contacts the donor to schedule a free pick-up. Vehicles are sold at auction, with proceeds benefiting the year-round programs supported by the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia. A major program made possible by Kidney Cars revenue is Camp Independence, the only week-long summer camp in Georgia specifically for children with chronic kidney disease. The National Kidney Foundation of Georgia has a threefold mission: to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and to increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. For more information or to donate your vehicle, call 1-800- 488-CARS (2277) or donate online at www.kidneyga.org. |
