Mt. Carmel Baptist

Mt. Carmel Baptist Church will have its Youth Revival 7:30 nightly Monday-Sunday, April 2- 8.

The Rev. Moses Anderson, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hephzibah, will be the guest minister for the week.

Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m. and worship service will be 11:30 a.m. for Men and Women Day.

Elijah Reese will be the speaker for the men, and Christina Stripling will be the speaker for the women. The sermon will be delivered by Jerome Herrington, pastor.

Also, Mt. Carmel will add additional worship services beginning the fourth Sunday in April with Sunday School beginning at 10:30 a.m. Each month services will be held at Mt. Carmel on the second and fourth Sundays.

Parker Grove Baptist

Parker Grove Baptist Church will have its Youth Revival 7:30 nightly Monday-Friday, April 16- 20.

The Rev. Varquis Lewis of Swainsboro will be the guest speaker for the week.

Carswell Grove

Carswell Grove Church will celebrate 140th church anniversary 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 8.

The Rev. John H. Bush, pastor, invites the public.

Big Buckhead

Baptist

Easter sunrise services will be held 7 a.m. Sunday, April 8, at Big Buckhead Baptist Church.

The Rev. Christy Bandy, pastor of Millen United Methodist Church, will deliver the message.

Special singing is also planned. The public is invited to attend.

Gordon Grove

Baptist

Gordon Grove Baptist Church will have its Spring Revival 7:30 nightly, through Friday, March 30.

The Rev. James Joyce will be the guest minister.

Wednesday, March 28 - Skull Creek #2, Sandy Hill, Jones Temple and Williams Grove Holiness;

Thursday, March 29 - Lane Grove, Parker Grove, Mt. Carmel, Williams Grove and Bible Missionary; and

Friday, March 30 - Johnson Chapel, Daniel Grove, Durder Grove, New Testament and Johnson Grove.

Green Fork Baptist

Green Fork Baptist Church will have an Easter Egg Hunt 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, for children through fifth grade.

Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served.

Also, following services on Sunday, April 1, a covered dish dinner will be held in honor of Ray Freeman's birthday.

Easter sunrise service will be held 7 a.m. Sunday, April 8, followed by Bible study at 10 a.m. and morning worship service at 11 a.m.

Baptist Church

Second McCoy Baptist Church will have its Spring Revival 7:30 nightly, Wednesday-Friday, March 28-30.

LaRushia Alston will be the guest speaker.

Nannie E. Williams United Methodist Church will have Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 8.

Breakfast will be served immediately following worship service.

Welcome Baptist Church will have its "Fruit of the Spirit" program 5 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

Clifford Mosley will be the master of ceremonies.

Speakers are as follows: Alice Milton, Jewel Anfield, Corine Johnson, Hazel Banner, Sharon VanAlystan; Annie Young, Juanita Pinkney, the Rev. Leroy Bowman and John Young.

Zion Baptist Church

The adult choir at Zion Baptist Church will present "Easter in Songs" 11 .a.m. Sunday, April 8.

Also, Male Participation Day has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, April 22.

Dinner will be served.

The public is invited to attend both events.

Bethel A.M.E.

Bethel A.M.E. Church will have a pastor's appreciation service, "A Serenade to Our Pastor," honoring the Rev. Alma P. Mack, 4 p.m. Sunday, April 1.

The featured guest will be Unity, a community choir that made its debut in January during the birthday celebration for the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The choir also performed at the community Black History Month celebration in February.

Morrison Grove

Baptist

Morrison Grove Baptist Church will honor young residents of the community for their positive work 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 1.

Names of young people who have made positive changes to the community are submitted each year at the close of the youth revival.

The adult leader of the Girl Scout Council will also be recognized this year.
