Garden club council members recognized

The Millen Garden Club Council met March 22 for their annual joint meeting with Council President Doris Rabitsch presiding. Gladys Bragg presented the devotional. Vice-President Martha Sue Wilson and Millen Garden Club President Sherri Wilson served as hostesses with Mrs. Rabitsch recognizing Charter, honorary and/or oldest club members. All members honored were presented an African violet or miniature rose bush in an Easter basket.
Refreshments were served by Ann Cowart, Annelle Dickey, Beckie Becton, Caroline Beard, Reann Black, Martha Sue Wilson, Janice Pennington, Edna Hodges, Doris Rabitsch with Sherri Smith as chairman.
The hostesses held the drawing for door prizes.
Millen Garden Club Council members and clubs were recognized during the meeting. Millen Garden Club was recognized as the oldest club having been organized in 1928.
