Bottoms, Dailey to unite in marriage

Leslie Bottoms and Felton Dailey II

Dr. and Mrs. Robert Bottoms of Greencastle, Ind. announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Bottoms of Athens, to Dr. Felton Dean Dailey II of Athens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Felton Dean Dailey of Millen.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 2, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Athens. A reception will follow at Tucker Plantation.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harry Vickers of Birmingham, Ala.

She is a 1992 graduate of Greencastle High School and a 1996 graduate of Vanderbilt University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts. She received her masters degree from the University of Georgia in 2005 and is currently working on her PhD at UGA.

She currently works on the external evaluation team of Georgia's Reading First grant and as a teaching assistant in language and literacy education.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Felton Dailey of Millen and Mrs. Paul D. Turner of Williston, S.C.

He is a 1993 graduate of Jenkins County High School and received his DVM from the University of Georgia in 2001.

He is a manager of veterinary technical services at Merial Animal Health Corporation and relief veterinarian at Good Hands Veterinary Hospital.
