Donate your car for a cause

Tired of being sacked by costly automobile repairs? Make the call. Donate your vehicle - running or not - to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia's year-round Kidney Cars program.

The process is simple. All you need to do is call 1-800-488- CARS (2277). The foundation will mail you an information packet, complete with a self-addressed envelope in which to return the signed title and odometer statement. When the completed packet is received, the foundation then contacts the donor to schedule a free pickup. Vehicles are sold at auction, with proceeds benefiting the foundations year-round program efforts.

Donors also receive a letter acknowledging their gift, which they can use for tax purposes. Donors are encouraged to check with their tax advisors to determine how much of a tax deduction they are eligible to take.
