Mrs. Gloria Rabitsch, 66, died Monday, April 23

Gloria Starr Rabitsch, 66, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Newton Medical Center in Covington.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, at Monticello Baptist Church with the Dr. Kerry Bunn officiating.

Burial followed in West View Cemetery.

Mrs. Rabitsch was born March 5, 1941 to Mary and William James Starr at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta.

She was a graduate of Chamblee High School in Chamblee and lived in Forest Park prior to moving to Jasper County.

In 1975, she started Poly Tech Industries in Monticello with her husband, Dean. The couple also started a girls softball league in Monticello, as well as several youth groups, such as 4T's for Christ and the monthly bus skating ministry to Jackson.

Mrs. Rabitsch was an active member of the Monticello Baptist Church and enjoyed sharing the word of God with young people.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her two daughters, Patty Batchelor and Tammy Boggs, both of Monticello; a son, Jimmy Rabitsch of Covington; granddaughter, Starr Batchelor; grandsons, Shawn Lynch, Cliff Lynch and Jeremy Blackmon; great-granddaughter, Yasmine Lynch; and a sister, Linda Mathis of Rossville.

Pallbearers were Larry Lynch, Greg McMichael, Thurman Willis, Joe McMichael, Dave Artessa and Scott Sauls.

Honorary pallbearers were the IV Sunday School class of Monticello Baptist Church and Poly Tech employees.

The family suggests donations to the Monticello Baptist Church Youth Mission Fund, 334 W. Green St., Monticello, GA 31064.
