The annual Relay for Life gets underway 7 p.m. Friday at the Jenkins County Recreation Department complex. This is always a fun event with numerous activities taking place for the whole family to enjoy. There is always lots of good food also. So, plan to attend and support the fight against cancer with your presence and donations.

My heartfelt condolences are extended to the family and friends of Craig Jackson who passed away last week after an extended illness. Craig endeared himself to everyone who knew him, and always seemed to have a smile on his young face. He will be greatly missed.

If you see me "running circles" in the road this week, just ignore me. I'll eventually figure out which direction I am supposed to be going and get back on track.

May is always our busiest month with "every day" feeling like a dreaded "Monday"!

Seriously, if I did not really enjoy what I do, I couldn't do it.

Most of the time it doesn't feel like work at all. (But don't tell Roy Chalker. He might stop signing my paycheck.)
