Mr. James Jackson Jr., 23, died May 10 in Atlanta

Mr. James Craig Jackson Jr., 23, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after an extended illness.

Services were held 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, at West Millen Baptist Church with the Revs. Brad Boyton and Butch Taylor officiating.

Burial followed in Millen Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was born in Bulloch County but lived all his life in Jenkins County. He was a member of West Millen Baptist Church and Skull Creek Hunting Club. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his parents, James C. (Roundhead) and Linda Beard Jackson; brother, Al Jackson; sister Christa J. Walters; grandmother, Ortents (Piggie) Beard; nephew and niece, Gannon and Susannah Walters, all of Millen; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Active pallbearers were Craig Morris, Craig Burke, George Talton, Chuck Richardson, Richard Dixon, Craig Brackin, Richard Taylor, Toby Womack, John Williams and Will Tyler.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Skull Creek Hunting Club.

Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
