Kudos to all who participated in the annual Relay for Life last Friday and Saturday. A lot of planning and work went into the event and all who participated are to be commended for their efforts.

A final tally of the donations collected has yet to be completed, but word is the total will be close to the $25,000 goal set for this year's event.

Congratulations to the Jenkins County High School Class of 2007 who will receive their hard-earned diplomas this Friday night. This year's class can boast of 20 honor graduates and 14 National Honor Society graduates. They are a smart class, and I know their parents and the community as a whole is very proud of them.
