The Jenkins County High School Class of 1957 held its 50th year class reunion Saturday, May 19, at the Jenkins County Ag Center.

Prior to the reunion a large group of the class members toured the high school building, recalling fond memories and reminiscing about how the building looked in "their day."

The evening began with those in attendance remembering the deceased members of the class. Bill Hatcher presided over the memorial, showing PowerPoint presentation, and classmates shared their favorite memories of those individuals.

Later, a PowerPoint video of the class member's school pictures and snapshots of school days was shown while the guests enjoyed finger foods and visited with one another.

Class president Ernest Thorne presided over the program giving each class member the opportunity to share the highlights of their lives over the last 50 years, and Thelma Parker Rogers read the Class Prophecy to see just how many had fulfilled their prophecy.

The class plans to make the reunion an annual event.
