Deloris (Lois) B. Stone of Sylvania died May 11

Deloris (Lois) Bragg Stone, 65, of Sylvania died Friday, May 11, 2007 in Bulloch County.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Thompson- Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roan Powell and the Rev. Karen Zeigler officiating.

Interment followed in Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Stone was born in Jenkins County and was a retired hairdresser and restaurant owner. She was also a member of Memorial Baptist Church and worked school traffic for Sylvania Police Department for 25 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Daughtry of Aiken, S.C.; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Debbie Wilkerson of Thomson and Charles "Jabo" and Cindy Thigpen of Claxton; step-daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Adair and Kevin Flakes of Waynesboro; step-son and daughter-in-law, James Matthew and Carol Stone of Germany; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirlee and Jerry Dailey of Millen and Shelia and Johnny Wilson of Sylvania; brother, Herman Bragg of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; special friend, George Griffin of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Bernard Brown, Bob Holtzolaw, Marty Lee, Jerry Dailey, Johnny Wilson and Tracy Mock. Honorary pallbearers were employees of the Sylvania Police Department.

Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
