Wilson Family Reunion

The annual D.T. Wilson Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 24, at the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center. A basket lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

All relatives and friends are invited.

VFW plans flag retirement

VFW Post #2776 will hold a flag retirement ceremony 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, on the front lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse.

The public is invited to attend and participate by bringing an unserviceable U.S. flag to be retired with honor and dignity by fire.

SCV to meet June 15

The Buckhead-Fort Lawton #2102 Camp of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will hold its monthly meeting 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Cindy's Café on Cotton.

Discussion of the Georgia Division Reunion in Metter last week will be the main topic, and Ray Garvin will present "Warriors of Honor: Stonewall Jackson" as the program.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
