RED WATERS
A rare infestation of water fern turned this pond on property of Sonny Oglesby, West Old Savannah Road, into a carpet of red grass over a period of two weeks. The water fern is carried by birds, reproduces fast and must be killed slowly, said Wade Parker, Jenkins County Extension Service coordinator.
