Police ask for leads in Joyner disappearance
      No leads have surfaced in the disappearance of Gregory Joyner, 28, of Millen. Family members said they have not seen or heard from Joyner since May 31 and are seeking the public's assistance in locating him.

Flag retirement ceremony held
      Members of the VFW Post #2776 gathered on the lawn of the Jenkins County Courthouse Saturday, June 16, to perform their third annual Flag Day retirement ceremony. Over 30 unserviceable U.S. flags were consigned to flame.

      The Jenkins County Elementary School PTO sponsored a Coke sale as their spring fund-raiser. The students sold $11,175.75 in Coke products. The top class was Jimmy Brannen's fourth grade class, who sold 73 cases.
