The Vacation Reading Program just keeps rolling along! It's been a great success so far, and don't worry, parents - if your kids still want to join, they can! Plus, we have a lot of great special events coming up in the next couple of weeks to make things even cooler. Keep watching this space for details!

At 11 a.m., Friday, June 29, the Friends of the Jenkins County Memorial Library will be hosting a puppet show and craft.

Come join us, and if you can, consider joining the Friends as well. After all, we all need to have Friends - even libraries!

Teens, don't forget that you need to turn in your forms! Without those, you won't be able to participate in our great Teen Lock N! It's going to be a Wild West extravaganza as we have a special event planned… one that will lead to a Murder in the Deadwood Saloon!

Ready for some fireworks? Well, you won't find them at the library on Wednesday, July 4, and there won't be a storytime to bring the little ones to - the library will be closed for Independence Day. Have fun celebrating with your family!

Curious about what's going on for the rest of the summer? http://sjrls.blogspot.com/2007/ 06/vacation-reading-programschedule. html has all you need to know about the library events at both Screven and Jenkins libraries.
