Burgess Landrum Alumni to hold 20th reunion

Alumni, administrators, faculty and friends of Burgess Landrum School will gather for their 20th annual reunion Friday, June 29, through Sunday, July 1.

The first class graduated from Burgess Landrum School in May 1956. The school was named for C.B. Landrum, Jenkins County School Superintendent.

Activities planned for the reunion begin at 8 p.m. Friday with a get-acquainted social at the Millen Community House.

Saturday's activities will include a banquet with registration to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Jenkins County Senior Citizens Center, followed by a social at the Millen Community House.

The weekend will conclude on Sunday with an 11 a.m. memorial service at the Zion Baptist Church and a picnic and farewell at the Millen Community House at 3 p.m.
